I wanted to take a picture with all those chairs.  I brought all the chairs in the house.  Then I set them by the back door and they didn't fit so I put them towards the coffee table but they couldn't fit there either.  I moved them right at the Christmas tree and they fit there.  We put the camera on the big table and checked the chairs-make sure they were all right.  When dad came home we sat in the chairs and took a picture.  I'm happy with the picture.

(Riley worked all afternoon on this project. The chairs were outside first with individual piles of leaves under them, until it got too dark for his picture-his pronouncement-and he moved them inside. Once he has something in his head... )

Here is another one

about something that happened months ago

but I still want to share

*grin*

I started teaching Riley at home

beginning last January

and found that

teaching Riley is frustrating

for him AND for me

We have also found that Riley has a really hard time adjusting to new things

with kindergarten 2 years away

we thought it a good idea

to get him started 

so it would go smoothly for him

We started him at Goddard

twice a week

mornings only

and you know what?

he loves it!

It's been a wonderful thing for him

Emily has started begging to go to school too.
